These works were done while a friend of Tom's was in town to work the sound board for The Dead. Tom was able to get back stage passes for all five nights. Tom was applying color in a scientific manner using a study done in Japan and published in the Journal of Color that coordinated colors into groups that evoked emotion. Tom painted many canvases using the cheerful combination of color.
